2005 - October 23rd - Sunday

JH met Mary Andrews at Yelverton Roundabout; Mary and JH went to the Garden House together; a colleague and her son - Isobel and William - joined us.  JH told Mary about JH’s plan to donate a kidney to Kathy; Mary’s immediate response was that JH’s kidney would be too old!  Mary has undertaken to collect JH from the RLH; she has also volunteered to come and stay in JH’s house during the latter’s convalescent period.  JH told Mary of Kathy’s eagerness to ‘repay’ JH for her donation; Mary replied that it was to be expected that Kathy would have concern for JH.

JH acknowledged receipt of Jill Whiting’s reply in which Jill stated that Norma Godwin would be the person to deal with any requests for JH’s Notes from Medical Records.  JH sent another email to Sara Stacey - forwarding the exchange of emails with Jill Whiting.  JH also attached the letter JH had sent to Dr Bailey.

2005 - October 26th - Wednesday

JH had conversation with Sara Stacey about Kathy’s overwhelming indebtedness, and queried whether to make a private appointment with Dr Bailey.  Sara said that the procedure would be that JH would be seen by a Nephrologist who would send a full letter about JH’s status as a potential donor to the Transplant Team, query via Maggie who appeared to be the ‘Link’ person, but the GP would, of course, be copied in.  It would be preferable for everything to be done by the Renal Unit in liaison with Kathy’s clinicians. There was no need for the GP to communicate directly with Maggie.
