2005 - October 6th - Thursday

Kathy Skinner phoned JH to ask what had happened to the Family Tree. JH explained that she planned to collect it from Doreen Hipsey on 13 November 2005, when JH was attending the Finalists’ Performances of the SRP/Moeck Competition in Greenwich. Kathy stated that two more babies were expected early in 2006, and she had knowledge of another person called Hipsey – query where. Kathy (and JH) had realised that, in July 2006, Edwin in Canada would be over in England to attend the third Millennium Reunion in Althorne – so it seemed rather pointless to send the Family Tree to him in Canada with only 6/12 left for him to update the Tree from the Reunion in July 2003. Action: query JH to email Edwin and suggest that he updates the Family Tree after 6 years, not 3 years!

Jeanette asked how long Kathy had been on dialysis: 18 months. Kathy said that the only thing which she needed now was a kidney transplant. Apparently her siblings are too old, and it would be unacceptable to receive a kidney from one of her daughters, as they had young children.

JH OFFERED KATHY A KIDNEY. Kathy said that her appropriate investigations had already started at the Royal London Hospital (RLH), Whitechapel, where the operation would be done. Action: Kathy would speak to the folks at her Dialysis Centre to ask what happens next at her end; JH would make general enquiries at Derriford Hospital.
