2006 - June 21st - Wednesday

JH met Sara in the Hospital and asked Sara if she had any more thoughts about the email sent to her last week; she said she would go to her office and reread it; Sara subsequently phoned JH (who was in the WRVS Tea Bar) and said that Dr Denton did not think it necessary to see JH but suggested that JH pop into the Renal Unit to be weighed so that he could ascertain that JH was managing to lose weight!

2006 - June 22nd - Thursday

JH received another appointment letter from the RLH which postponed the time by half-an-hour, and altered the venue to the Hanbury Suite in the main hospital  JH rang up the RLH and said that the change of time was very convenient to her and that, in actual fact, could she arrive a bit later still so that she could come straight from Plymouth and not stay a night at a Guest House?  There was a bit of scratching of heads – JH spoke to a member of staff called Lorraine whose signature was on the first appointment letter, but the second letter had no signature.  However, Lorraine spoke to Ray Trevitt, the Transplant Co-ordinator, and JH was told that she could arrive a bit later providing she arrived before the end of the Clinic at +/- 4.00pm.  JH rang the Lawn GH and told Mrs Pickering, the landlady, that JH would NOT need a night’s accommodation on 5 July 2006. - The Lawn Guest House

JH phoned Kathy and told her that the change of plans with regards to the appointment at the RLH.  Kathy said that she and Ralph were feeling unwell today and, perhaps, there was something ‘going round’.

2006 - June 24th - Saturday

JH bought her train tickets for travelling up to the appointment at the RLH  JH paid with her card; Alison was the ticket clerk whose name appeared on the receipt.
