JH received a copy of the letter dated 18 July 2006 from Dr Thuraisingham to Dr Denton; the letter reiterated what JH has already written about the consultation in this document!  However, it did give the date of the clinic as the 7th of July, instead of the 6th of July – the correct date.  JH spoke to Sara Stacey on the phone: there is NO NEED at all for JH to stay overnight at Derriford.


 

2006 - October 6th - Friday

JH phoned PIU to cancel booked bed; however, JH was told that she would need a bed to lie on in between Tests during the day! It was then that JH fortunately realised that the two NM Investigations were NOT on the same day – obviously patients must read their appointment letters properly!!

2006 - October 10th - Tuesday

Kathy rang JH and left a message on CM to ask JH to send the results of all JH’s tests to Dr Moro Azuela at Southend!  JH was rather concerned at this request as JH was reasonably sure that she had told Kathy that the tests would be done within a month but JH had not given the date/s of her appointment/s.

2006 - October 12th - Thursday

JH called on Renal Unit – staff too busy to weigh JH so JH weighed herself: 15st 2lb with shoes.   JH collected 4 new books: Human Tissue Authority information about live-donor transplants, Could I be a living kidney donor?, Donor and recipient perspectives Photo Diaries, Your questions answered Medical Information. Sara explained that all donors and recipients need to see a local Independent Assessor (IA) in view of the recent changes in the law with regard to live-donor transplants.
