2006 - September 5th - Tuesday

JH phoned Kathy to ascertain exact description and list of contents of the lost Bag – and left a message on an answerphone.

2006 - September 7th - Thursday

JH visited Renal Unit for weight and B/P check:  B/P 144/76; however, machine bleeped as recording pulse as 38; when checked by Sara she counted it as 46 and regular; weight 14st 9lb, ie, same as 9th August.  Whilst in Renal Unit JH was spotted by Rev Gordon Cryer, PCFCD Chairman, who was accompanying his brother who had an appointment.  JH explained about her proposed donation; she mentioned that she had told Jonathan Marshall, Centre Director, that she had found a recruit to take Minutes – and so explaining that Lyn was to be JH’s stand-in if JH was absent from a Trust Meeting.  [JH also spoke to Lyn about WRVS volunteer Jane Moss’s missing book ‘It came to our door’ which JH thought she might have loaned on to Lyn - as Lyn knew Monica Twyford, the Author’s Daughter, who set up the SCBU in Treliske Hospital.]

2006 - September 8th - Friday

JH’s pulse checked by Staff Nurse in A&E: 60, ie, in tune with ticking of WRVS Tea Bar clock!

2006 - September 9th - Saturday

Kathy rang JH to say that the bag that had been lost was not a laptop case but a document case with an envelope flap which could be secured with Velcro.  The case contained yellow-coloured books containing the records of all the previous picnics, and a photo album.  JH said that she would arrange to meet Kathy and Ralph in North Devon on a day when Kathy was not having her dialysis:  {JH subsequently decided not to stay in North Devon.}

2006 - September 11th - Monday

JH sent email to Sara Stacey asking her about the risks of JH carrying MRSA, and about her pulse being low. [JH had been visiting a friend in hospital who has MRSA.]
