2007 - April 17th - Tuesday

JH received a reply from Ray to JH’s email to Kathy: Ray informed JH that a blood test is also required – within 3 weeks of the angiogram [and which also cannot be done locally]; he also said that the dates of 3rd or 17th May would be possible ‘for the actual thing’.  Oh Dear!  JH sent an email to Ray to ask whether the blood test is done before, or after, the angiogram; furthermore she reminded Ray that she was UTA on 17th May for the angiogram but that she could come on 3rd May.  JH also wondered if – to avoid coming up to the London three times – perhaps the appointment with the independent assessor could be amalgamated with the visit for the blood test, or the visit for the angiogram.  JH Received a prompt email reply from Ray saying that the Blood Test needed to be done before the angiogram, and that the IAs saw people in the mornings at St Bartholomew’s Hospital on Thursdays, and at ‘the other’ – presumably the RLH – on Mondays or Tuesdays.  JH sent a reply to Ray, and Sara was copied in [actually dated 18 April 2007 0024] in which she expressed an interest in going to Barts for her IA interview {as she had been a student nurse there briefly, etc, etc}; JH also presumed that she would pay for each night’s accommodation; JH informed Ray that she would still ask Sara, at Derriford, if anything had come of JH’s request to have the angiogram done privately, locally; JH gave Ray a full rundown of her schedule for when her sister visits and said that JH could be available, at the end of her sister’s stay, as by then JH and sister would be staying in Maidenhead.

2007 - April 18th - Wednesday

JH spoke to Sara on the phone in the morning: Sara said she had not had any replies from the radiologists to whom she had sent JH’s email plea for a angiogram to be performed privately.  JH received an email reply from Sara in response to her being copied in with JH’s email to Ray sent at 0024!  [However, the copy of JH’s email to Ray was dated most peculiarly - underneath Sara’s reply – JH’s computer clock is not wrong!]  Sara is glad to see JH ‘. . . hanging in there . . .’ and thought JH’s email to Ray was ‘. . . direct and to the point . . .’!  {JH observes that these statements probably refer to JH’s FIRST email to Ray.}

2007 - April 19th - Thursday

JH received an email from Ray asking JH for a copy of her birth certificate, and some sort of photo ID, and supporting evidence of JH’s relationship to KS; also attached to the email was a copy of a letter entitled Transplant Assessment Clinic in which Ray acknowledged receipt of the copy of the Family Tree, and formally set out all the requirements for presentation to the IA such as, Passport, statements from ‘A Pillar of the Community’ who can verify the relationship between Kathy and JH [which JH admits to herself that she cannot muster up], and all sorts of other things such as family photos, affidavits{!}, testimonials{!}, etc.
