2007 - August 12th - Sunday

JH was aware of her painful left shoulder whilst swimming for the second time in Tinside!

POSTOPERATIVE WEEK NINE, COMMENCING 13 AUGUST 2007 – AND FOR EVER!

2007 - August 14th - Tuesday

Kathy phoned JH as she was anxious to have a reply to her queries in her email of 8th August.  JH explained that she was a bit worried as to why Ralph wanted to know the colour of her Morris!  But she informed Kathy that the colour was aqua – to JH it looked like turquoise.  JH said that she had posted off the book about Maidenhead to Ann only yesterday.  Kathy was very well with regards to her blood tests indicating that HER kidney was functioning fine.  JH noticed that Kathy held quite a long conversation with her chatty donor without flagging and fading away: that’s just as it should be!

2007 - August 20th - Monday

Kathy phoned JH with the suggestion that JH and Mary might like to stay at the Skinners’ Croyde Bay Apartment in the middle of September 2007.  JH said that she would contact Mary and explain the offer to her; JH rang Mary at the Oxfam Shop; Mary reminded JH that she was dog sitting for the Stacciolis during September, and that Mary had already extended an invitation, via JH, for the Rolfes to come for some lunch at the Stacciolis.

Furthermore, Mary was off to Mary Haddock’s 75th Birthday Party in October, and also had another visit to Yorkshire planned.  JH rang Kathy back and explained that Mary was not available, and that JH would not take up the offer to go on her own: in any event, JH was not impressed with the offer of swimming in the indoor swimming pool, but Kathy said that the sea was for the surfers!

2007 - August 26th - Sunday

JH emailed the Skinners as it was almost a week since the last communication, and now a Bank Holiday WE.  JH said that it was great to have a sunny BH WE; JH explained about her achy left shoulder due to her whiplash injury; Rozee, to whom JH had sent the photos of Ralph’s model collection, phoned JH – having just come across JH’s letter.  Rozee was on a bit of a ‘high’, and regaled JH with the difficulties she experienced when she went on a horse-riding holiday with 81-year old mum!  JH mentioned to the Skinners that JH might come up to Greenwich in the second week of November to the Early Music Festival.
